This is Canon's last and best crop-sensor DSLR. I'll move into the mirrorless world at some point, but the last time the opportunity came up, I was not prepared to leave the optical viewfinder behind.
Great value, sharp images, and amazing reach when paired with a crop-sensor body (effectively 240-960mm). I love taking this lens out on the kayak, the back porch, or the trail and getting portraits of just about any bird or beast out there without needing to crop.
Supposedly, this is the closest Canon ever came to making an L-series EF-S lens. The image quality is great, and the constant f/2.8 aperture makes it a nice lens for getting indoor and outdoor shots.
My newest acquisition is a highly capable drone. It's been fun to fly around, and I look forward to making some interesting images from a bird's eye view.
